Why not we are in this mess because of sound bite politics such as the ones that won them power 'Oven Ready Deal' 'Get Brexit Done' '40 New Hospitals' ;Stop the boats' Take Back control' £360 Million a month for the NHS'

No, I agree. But to me the public aren't blameless, they're often complicit in that they never hold politicians to account or want a clear explanation as to how something will be achieved. We're happy to swallow any old slop, now more than ever.

Rishi Sunak is set to fail on all but one of his 5 pledges set out this year

1. Halve inflation ✅
2. Grow economy ❌ Growth since Jan is flat
3. Cut debt ❌ Higher than Jan
4. Cut waiting lists ❌ Gone up
5. Stop the boats ❌

Inflation has nothing to do with his policies- it's the BOE mainly

" "No trick... no ambiguity... we're either delivering for you or we're not. We will rebuild trust in politics through action, or not at all. So, I ask you to judge us on the effort we put in and the results we achieve.""

F**k off

Rishi Sunak ...
" "No trick... no ambiguity... we're either delivering for you or we're not. We will rebuild trust in politics through action, or not at all. So, I ask you to judge us on the effort we put in and the results we achieve.""

So he's built trust "not at all" then. Live by the sword, die by the sword.

Talking of yesterdays men...
Peter Bone out on his boney arse.
Bi-election upset on the horizon.
At this rate we won't need a General Election

And onto the next one....

"Conservative MP Miriam Cates has been placed under investigation by Parliament's standards watchdog.
Ms Cates was elected as MP for Penistone and Stocksbridge, South Yorkshire, in 2019.
It is not known exactly what the investigation by the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards relates to.
However it is claimed she caused "significant damage to the reputation of the House as a whole, or of its members generally".

Did you lose your bottle with your nasty snide remark?

Why wouldn't we need a General Election?

Just a (weak) joke.
If we win enough of these self-inflicted by-elections we 'll have a majority before too long.
Of course , in reality, we REALLY need a General Election!

That Charlotte Owen super injunction sounds very iffy.
On a lighter note its nice to see Bojo dressing his tree while playing Father Christmas?

How Wellingborough would vote in an election held tomorrow:

LAB: 38.3% (+11.8)
CON: 37.1% (-25.1)
REF: 10.3% (+10.3)

What confused you Stephen?
Perhaps you need to give your paper boy a slap instead of a tanner this Christmas.

Thanks to those Houthi rebels my Chinese cheap as chips Crimbo presents are now being tossed and turned around the Cape of Good Hope instead of slipping smoothly through the Suez Canal. So now I will have to fork out another 20 quid in the middle aisle at Lidl to get replacement presents. Lets hope the wife is happy with a hosepipe and the kids enjoy a foot pump and shower caps.
