Gooooooooo Brexit woot woooot!

Joe Biden has shelved plans for a trade deal with the UK as the 2024 presidential elections looms closer.

Plans for a "foundational" trade agreement with the UK ahead of next year's national polls comes after Senate opposition and disagreements over the scope of the deal.

Negotiations were indicated to begin in a draft of 11 proposed chapters, prepared by the United States Trade Representative's (USTR) office earlier this year.

Talks were intended to end in the spring ahead of both countries heading to the polls.

But now the deal is not expected to go ahead, two people briefed by the British and US governments have said.

If "easy to get" trade deals take this long, then we can only trade with governments that don't change every 5 years, i.e. the communist block & Netanyahu. No wonder China and Russia were accused of supporting Brexit on British internet forums.

Maybe Brexit can get get us a landmark trade deal with Rwanda?

We now seem to have more of a "special relationship" with them than our American cousins

Labour should use the three word route to get elected 'Recover our money' What these bastards have stolen would fix an an awful lot of the problems they have created.

An incompetent bunch of corrupt, lying, thieving, criminals are running this country

"The Treasury was blasted last night amid 'extraordinary' reports it rejected attempts by 'Britain's FBI' to launch a major investigation into Covid handouts fraud.

The National Crime Agency (NCA) offered to deploy specialist investigators after the Government's Bounce Back Loans and other schemes paid up to £5billion in taxpayers' money to fraudsters, according to reports yesterday.

But sources claimed the Treasury rebuffed the offer to prevent 'embarrassment' over the eye-watering losses."

So there you have it. If there were to be any investigations into this stolen money, it would highlight what morons we have running the UK economy

And as there is an election next year, they won't stand for that

Starmer as a former head of the CPS should go with 'Money Back Guaranteed' That would get the votes going.

Wow. The biggest examples of fraud that I read about were done by folk that never stepped a foot in this country - so wouldn't even risk being caught without FBI and international support. Bit like Putin's mob poisoning someone in Salisbury and making the connection obvious, that would have been a good test of how isolated Brexit had made us, just before launching an attack on the Ukraine.

Isolation is a great way of controlling the message. E.g. Netanyahu sent millions of dollars in cash to Hamas in suitcases delivered by a civilian car, during his 17 years in power. Hamas presented as a moderate government then took away the Palastinian's right to demonstrate / vote. They're all control freaks.

You should never promise anything too concrete, as Sunak has found to his cost with his pledge to Stop The Boats.

Sunak had little choice but to double down on getting us focused on inflatable dinghies. The Cons had failed to prove "Remoners" were "Doom mongering" in all other aspects. It was more misdirection from the Cons. What else could Politicians focused on self gain do ?

He's got Reform breathing down his neck hence the posturing.

It's dopey posturing because unless he can actually "stop" the boats he just give Reform UK a big stick to beat him with, which they do every hour on GB News. A vaguer slogan with more weaselly words would have been better.

I doubt Sunak wanted us to focus on the covid enquiry, where he said "Let them die" Or his (or Boris's) amazing amnesia for what actually happened. Bare faced liars.

Why not we are in this mess because of sound bite politics such as the ones that won them power 'Oven Ready Deal' 'Get Brexit Done' '40 New Hospitals' ;Stop the boats' Take Back control' £360 Million a month for the NHS'
There is a reasonable chance that we can recover vast amounts of what was stolen if we have genuine oversight and accountability of the feeding frenzy that went on during covid. These people are not clever they are greedy and they can and must be held to account.
Even the Daily Mail can't go against the concept of holding people to account and getting the tax payers money back.

You forgot another steaming hot pile of horse shit - "Levelling up"

Anybody that actually believed that load of cobblers is insane

Meanwhile Brexit continues to be the gift that just keeps on giving...

"British travellers are expected to see massive delays at airports across the EU next year as new checks are introduced. From autumn 2024, British passport holders will have to undergo fingerprint and face scans before being allowed entry to countries in the EU.

Post-Brexit changes at passport control have already caused long delays for British flyers as they are now required to have their passports stamped as the UK is recognised as a 'third country' to the EU. It is thought the new Entry/Exit System (EES), which will replace passport stamping, will not only increase queues but also see travellers hand over sensitive personal data as scans will be entered into a database."

Still, at least out passports are a nice dark blue again 👍 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿
