I was recently reading about Charlotte Seeley. She played Vincent's wife Gina.
Prior to that part, she was in mucky films flashing her jack n danny.

Charlotte Alexandra Mary Seeley, usually credited as Charlotte Alexandra, is an English film actress. She is best known for her appearance in several controversial, sexually-explicit feature films in the mid to late 1970s. She has also acted under her given name Charlotte Seeley. Wikipedia

I don't remember her. I just googled her and still don't recognise her.

Nor do I, and was getting a bit confused.com as I couldn't find her listed until I noticed she was aka Charlotte Alexandra, which was probably her porn name, if Stephen's info. is right.

ALSO, she was only in the series for four episodes.

"Unsimulated Sex Scenes in Film: 'Nymphomaniac,' 'Brown Bunny,' 'Little Ashes,' and More" it reads under her short list of TV, and now I'm wondering how the hell you can do an unsimulated sex scene, if it ain't doing the real thing.

You can't.

FOUR EPISODES? Why are we even discussing this?
Misogyny from Stephen.

It was tongue in cheek, for the first part, "wondering" how you can have unsimulated sex,

and I'm not discussing it - just pointing out for Chappers benefit why no one remembers her.

Perhaps Stephen is carrying a torch for her

I'm watching it at the moment on NowTV. It's certainly more of a dramedy. Paul Nicholas is rather wooden, but he's got such nice hair that I am prepared to forgive him.

Blimey there're many comdrams/dramedies masquerading as sitcoms on here but I'd never call JGF one. Some eps were stuffed with funny lines, it even has a studio audience laugh track so I'm not sure what more it could do to be a sitcom, imo.

It does have a large gag rate but it's still quite schmaltzy at times. I think that it was very slow, plot wise.

That's all down to the writer. Maybe he got better.

Whatever happened to him though?

The single version of the theme tune was available on Spotify. My spouse said that Nicholas cannot sing but I disagree - he was very much a stalwart of the London stage.

And with a few hit records. "Dancing with the Captain" for one.

Apparently he was also on the following which I think got banned along with another future star.

Tsk tsk! Naughty Davy 'n' Paul.

I'm now ploughing through S3 and it's dragging. I think that it could have been resolved with fewer episodes.
