I worked with TK back when I was in the space biz. He was brilliant, funny, and humble. Rest in peace, Astronaut.

RIP Annabel Giles

Sad news. Only 64 and a brain tumour.

Terry Venables RIP

Terry Venables RIP

Oh dear. I've never thought of him as being of dying age. Used to watch him regularly at White Hart lane in the sixties. I suppose they'll have a minute's silence (or applause) at Tottenham this afternoon.

It's 1 minute of clapping.
I often find that more moving.

RIP

As a QPR fan I am saddened by the death of Terry Venables. A great player and manager at Loftus Road and an all round good egg.

He created this too of course...

RIP Shane MacGowan

Man, I loved the Pogues, but I hated to watch him destroy his health. Shane, Sinead, and Phil: my favorite Irish musicians - all gone too soon.

Good lad, and your sentiment is what I think whenever I see Keith Richards.

A few years back, there was a documentary about Shane, and the bit that always stuck in my mind, was him completely out of it swaying in some bar, and the landlady saying "Shush, shush everyone, he's about to sing", which was hysterical as he was at that moment not on this planet - I have never seen anyone so drunk still standing up.
