British Comedy Guide

The all in one consolidated RIP thread Page 108

Wrong thread! 😆

Well, she certainly died on the quiz, the useless article, so you weren't that wrong.

Michael Gambon RIP

Francis Lee, ex-Man City, Derby, Bolton & England striker, Man City chairman, racehorse trainer and toilet roll manufacturer. Aged 79.

His toilet roll was rubbish to be fair

I wouldn't wipe my arse with it

British film director - Terence Davies.
A couple of days late - and probably of limited interest - he was a unique film-maker.
Distant Voices, Still Lives is sublime.
Here he is, fondly talking of love of Ealing comedies.

RIP and Ahh, The Ladykillers, sheer excellence of British comedy, and what a cast! A film I would never tire of watching.

Also, used in one of my Only Connect questions of names of parrots, such as Captain Flint; but can you remember what the little old landlady Louisa Wilberforce's (Katie Johnson) parrot was called?

RIP Rudolph Isley.

They were one of my favourite Motown groups and later crossover to rock/pop.

Burt Young RIP

Paulie from Rocky

🥊 🥊

Great cartoonist Tony Husband, creator of The Yobs, longest running strip ever in Private Eye, and so much more. RIP

Just seen the sad news about Tony Husband. I used to laugh out loud daily at his cartoons on Twitter. Seemed to be such a nice man

Yes, I've featured a few of his cartoons recently - Rest In Peace
