Yes I know and it's utterly appalling and I for one want Hamas hunted down like dogs until each and every member is in the dust
But is it an eye for an eye?
Terrorists killed our children- so therefore Palastinian children are now fair game?

"Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that." which is how segregation was abolished in America, South Africa and arguably how the Irish conflict was eventually resolved. Neither the IRA or UDA won. Forcing people against their will, of the same opinion still. But I doubt the gun lovers would get their tiny little hooded brains around such arguments. But history remembers Gandi, King & Mandela - anyone remember the big cheese's behind the KKK or Proud boys ? They didn't "win" either. Apologies if this sound a little abrasive, but I trust no died reading it.
Personally I don't even believe Hamas want peace at all
They are driven by hatred for Israel - nothing else
There will only ever be peace once Hamas cease to exist
It's just the way Israel goes about achieving it...
If Israel isn't careful and the death count gets out of hand in Gaza- they could find themselves in a full scale war with Iran and maybe other countries - the Muslim countries in the region won't stand for it
At least Biden seems to have persuaded them to turn the water back on
... to his credit. Thank goodness Trump wasn't in power or Putin didn't take an interest. Amercia's approach to hunting down one man, Bin Lardy da, seemed more effective than carpet bombing Vietnam (another war they didn't win). I've listened to the arguments from Israelis and the one's I've spoken to seemed just as full of hate, as if their hate is justfied and the other side's isn't. It's just escalating. Hate will not drive out hate, not in modern times.
.. if ever there was a need for a second coming in Jerusalem, it's now. A modern day Jesus, a Martin Luther Jnr Jnr. Banging heads against the walls of the "Holy city" harder and harder and expecting a different result, clearly isn't working, for either side.

The second coming would mean Jesus judging us all for our sins
I think his opinion would be along the lines of "what a bunch of sick, stupid, evil MORONS"
😔
Yeah but it would be a good show. It would make the news.

Slight understatement there, Stephen. 😁
Quote: Hercules Grytpype Thynne @ 4th October 2023, 11:36 AMI've been saying this for decades, and that is why I absolutely detest politicians, for the money grabbing arseholes they are, "working" in that monstrosity of a building** with its subsidised restaurants and bars, and I seem to remember there is even a bar for smokers.
**You stop for a mo', and look how big that 4 STOREY DOUBLE SIDED building is and imagine how much that costs to run in heating, lighting etc. (bet they don't pay f**king council tax) and then add on their wages AND expense accounts, for example £300 A DAY (ten years ago) just for turning up in the House of Lords, which all came to light when "Lord" (what the f**k did he do to deserve that title) Hanningfield was caught red-handed signing in for 20 minutes to claim his £300 "bonus", which he managed to do for 11 f**king days, and this is AFTER he'd served a jail sentence for expenses fraud in 2011, by claiming around £3,300 in House of Lords allowances in July 2013 to which he was not entitled.
And what happened the second time? His mates closed ranks and it was forgotten about, and that is the sort of shit that goes on in that building.
A load of f**king lying cheating wasters - we need a modern-day Guido Fawkes, with up-to-date ordnance/explosives.
At last, someone has brought a book out on the subject.....................
I think Hamas wanted to provoke Israel into invading Gaza, deliberately using their own people as human shields in the hope that their slaughter will turn the world against Israel. The problem they have is their savagery in the attack has made them even more abhorrent and no non Muslim country would want that group to exist anymore, so they have justified Israel's inevitable slaughter of whoever gets in the way, and Israel can justly say Hamas has cause the slaughter of their own people. No sane nation would want such dangerous nutters on their doorstep.
Yep
To say Hamas have made an error of judgement, is the understatement of the century...
" Former prime minister Liz Truss is to challenge Rishi Sunak and Jeremy Hunt with her own alternative Budget.
Her proposal will be pitched as one that rails against "conventional thinking", and will be presented to the government as an alternative to the chancellor's plans.
The report outlining Truss's suggestions will be released one week before Hunt delivers his autumn statement on 22 November."
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The balls on this woman
If I was responsible for what she did - I literally would be too embarrassed to even show my face in public ever again
F**knuttery on a colossal scale
That's actually quit clever, because the effects of a budget often takes decades to play out. So Liz can pretend her budget would have given quicker results than the safe one Ristie or Starmer are suggesting. Given the British Public will want, possibly expect, quick Economic results, it's not hard to predict that's unlikely under any budget. Populism.

My apologies Billy, your absolutely right. Thanks for the helpful response. I still haven't mastered this reading thing, you know it took me 3 months to read Animal Farm and that's only 200 pages.

👍🏿
I didn't actually read this. I saw it on the news.
The Wagatha Christie case gripped the Nation? What? Who cares. I'm only commenting because it was on the news. (The News???? Why???).
Also Coleen said she wanted to tell HER truth. Not THE truth.
