I read the news today oh boy! Page 2,661

Climate issues? My browser shows me the weather (in Northampton for some reason) and at 5am this morning it was 9 deg C. and "Current temp near the record low for 23rd September"

My central heating nearly chimed in this morning too :(

The ten hottest global temperatures recorded (since 1850) have all been since 2010.
Clearly, this cannot compete with your compelling "it was slightly nippy in my back garden this morning" argument.
Weather and climate are not the same thing!

And if you're not scared of the weather or ULEZ, now Covid's on it's way back.

I say 'back' ;)

Are you denying the existence of Covid now?
What next? Were the moon landings faked too? Is the Earth flat?

The moon is hollow

Fact.

So that's what the moon Clangers on children's TV were all about. They were cheese moles. All makes sense now.

The Clangers wasn't set on the moon.

How can you tell if you're making a bad decision? The craziest, brain dead clown in world politics says you're making a good decision...

"Prime Minister Sunak of the United Kingdom has very substantially rolled back the ridiculous "Climate Mandates" that the United States is pushing on everyone, especially itself. I always knew Sunak was smart, that he wasn't going to destroy and bankrupt his nation for fake climate alarmists that don't have a clue. In the meantime the U.S. keeps rolling merrily along, spending Trillions of Dollars trying to do that which is not doable, while at the same time breathing in the filthy and totally untreated air floating over our once great Country from China, India, Russia, and Parts Unknown. They are all building Coal Fired Plants by the hundreds each year, and Germany, which has almost destroyed itself with its ridiculous form of the Green New Hoax, has just joined in. Congratulations to Prime Minister Sunak for recognizing this SCAM before it was too late! The Green New Hoax will take down the U.S., perhaps even sooner than our Open Border of Death. IT MUST BE STOPPED. MAGA!!"

Ha! Yes.

Who? UNESCO?
they are a global organisation dedicated to preserving World Heritage sites.
They can't stop us building roads.

They can by stealth and propaganda, and it's exactly what they're campaigning to do, in threatening to put Stonehenge on the endangered list they are hoping to force the govt, into a U-turn on the tunnel. The campaign group who took it to unesco are also exploiting the huge overspend and likely shortening of the HS2 tunnel to spread fear about the same thing happening in Wiltshire. It's rampant nimbyism supplemented by the rabid eco warrior tree hugger brigade who'd like to take us back to horses and carts.

The tunnel will transform travelling to our most popular holiday destination and boost the south west economy. The Hindhead tunnel on the A3 took 40 years of campaigning before the govt. relented and built a lovely tunnel which has cut the time it takes from London to Portsmouth in half and ended the pollution from ten mile static tailbacks. Its success has been hailed for the new impetus on tunnelling projects such as HS2 and the A303 and blends in beautifully with the landscape.

You're absolutely right. The increasing temperatures to which you refer since 2010 and which people are using as evidence of "climate change", is "weather", the variations of which we have always suffered.

To use a period of 13 years as evidence of "climate change" is ridiculous. Climate regards patterns across hundreds or thousands of years. Not 13!

You misunderstand.
The ten hottest recorded temperatures over the last 173 years have all been since 2010.
Lots of evidence temperatures have risen dramatically in recent decades compared to the previous 2000 years too.

HS2 NORTHERN section - scrapped

Big f**kin surprise

Except it hasn't been yet. And for the tabloid pleasing 'scrapped' read 'delayed' as it will almost certainly be restarted in the future, as so much work and money has already gone into its planning. But this is another very political move, with Labour expected to win the next election, Rishi has handed them a time bomb.

Labour fully supports HS2 as part of their northern powerhouse plans and now they'll be blamed and not the Tories for the huge overspend if they choose to restart the northern legs and if they don't they'll be accused by Burnham and co. of not really caring about the Labour heartland, the North and are as London centric as the Tories. Sunak is a very cunning Machiavellian.

But that's what campaigning groups do.
Personally I don't know enough about the Stonehenge project to have an opinion
As ever, you're moving the goalposts - that's not what I was talking about.
Your original post spoke of "sour grapes revenge meddling to try to show us they still have power over us".
Absolute paranoid nonsense.

They completely gutted parts of my home county for that stupid waste of time and money.
