A Hawkwind compilation. I never really heard much of their stuff at the time although I loved Silver Machine.

Anyway interesting to hear now. In effect very jazzy. I'm enjoying it but live I bet it was great to be there.

Amazon just delivered Steely Dan's Aja and Wilco's new Cousin, so I'm getting ready to give them each a spin.

Well I've got Aja but still never sampled Wilco. Give me a suggestion to start with. (I may have already asked you this).

They've gone through a lot of changes over the years, so I guess it depends on what you like. Yankee Hotel Foxtrot is considered their masterpiece. A Ghost is Born, Being There, and Summerteeth are all very good. My friend joined the band in 2004 and played on every album from Sky Blue Sky onward. They did 3 volumes of Mermaid Avenue recordings with Billy Bragg; it's a bunch of poems from Woody Guthrie put to music. Kicking Television is a good example of their live act in 2005.

Take yer pick. :)

Always happy to oblige.

I may be in the minority, but I think this is the greatest work ever recorded https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=cKnoffPV8m0

Yeah that was great.

It is beyond great. Almost as good as One Direction, the Spice Girls and Pulp.
