Exactly. As far as I'm aware (I've stopped reading all the dross after day one) none of these 'victims or survivors' has gone to the police or appointed a legal representative. They've run to the press, some of them after sitting on it (phnaaar) for twenty years.

I don't like the bloke or at least his persona as projected. Saw him on tele a few times years ago and since then I've consciously avoid anything he's on. As I said elsewhere the episode of QI he's on is the only one I have never watched. I often watch several old episodes on the trot if there's nowt else on.

As mentioned, Cliff ...

The C4 documentary "In plain sight" lays out a mountain of evidence. The Law acts on probability, at the lower level of crime it's "balance of probability" but in criminal court, it needs to be "beyond reasonable doubt." . Your word against theirs still isn't sufficient, and the Police shy away when someone rich and famous is involved due to the PR backlash. But in Cliff's case, they needed to get a search warrant, which is hard to get and normally means someone is blocking an investigation. But how do you get "beyond reasonable doubt" if someone does block police investigations or pays people to keep quiet ?

"Good news for hardworking families across the country - inflation is down again.
Down from 6.8% - to 6.7% today ....

Wow

Party time

This reminded me of Italy when the rent doubled overnight with the transition to the Euro. Then it doubled again. Then my favourite Berlusconi said, 'We're reducing by one per cent by the end of the year,' and everyone got excited. Weird.

Two years ago Sunak said at Cop 26 "The clock is ticking, its time to finance our future"

At 4.30pm today he will go on telly and say "f**k the future, I've got a general election to win"

Risky move.
At the last count about 70% of voter supported net zero targets
I guess he's hoping the 30% are concentrated in the Red Wall seats he's worried about drifting back to Labour.
It'll give the LibDems a boost I should think.
Maybe he's just worried about the party Conference getting a bit frisky.
A little red meat to calm the beast.

He was never elected and he has ripped up the 2019 manifesto and wiped his arse with it

Hence, he needs to f**k the hell right off

On the plus side, he has probably caused even more divisions in the Tory party with this - sweet!

Sunak scrapping measures that were never going to happen.
Pure panic.

From memory, the only recent political victory the Tory's had was due to Londoners' reacting to expanding the congestion charge to their driveways, maybe that's all they've got ?

The motor industry was quick to point out how governments that break legal agreements make their countries less investible. Hasn't stopped the Cons from digging their hole, in the hope it's an escape tunnel.

The PM saying that the British people are sick of broken promises - then proceeds to announce what promises he is about to break

I switched off half way through

The lying little prat , literally makes my skin crawl

400 votes.
Hardly a bell-weather for the country's mood on green issues, with a very specific issue being voted on.
A massive over-reaction which I don't think will play well.
We'll see.

Does it ever say that at the end of a show? I've never noticed.
As discussed already there are many good reasons why rape victims might not want to go to the police.
If anyone's not telling the truth, it should soon become clear at the trial anyway.

Yep, plenty of victims just don't go to the police. Also plenty outside of rape/sexual assault that don't go to them about over crimes committed against them (myself, I didn't end up going to the police about a mugging - which I later found out left me with what the Doctor thinks was a cracked rib!), but these assaults are particular crimes that don't get reported.

He promises to save us all from having to have 7 bins each, putting taxes on meat - and compulsory car sharing...

The daft c*nt is literally just making shit up

Just awaiting confirmation he now intends rowing back on their plans to ban sky hooks, tartan paint and the use of glass hammers

To be fair, we need 7 seperate bins just to cope with the sheer amount of garbage this lot are coming up with.
Time to recycle the lot of them.

I never thought in a million years they could elect anyone as horrendous as Boris - but you've got to hand it to them

Truss and Sunak are easily just as bad

Which is a staggering achievement to be fair

They make John Major look like Winston f**king Churchill

Oh dear, what have they done now?

When the EU lost their right to meddle in our policy making the ECHR, based in France, stepped in to tell us what we couldn't do on immigration, now we're looking at getting rid of that sham political outfit. Now UNESCO, also based in France, has decided to tell us we can't build the much needed tunnel under Salisbury Plain that our Highest Court has finally cleared to go ahead.

Why? Because it's too close to Stone Henge, a world heritage site UNESCO, based in France, seem to think they own. So they want to condemn Brits to the tedious 100 mile long traffic jam we have to put up with to get to the south west for ever. Are they ever going to stop their petty revenge and arrogant meddling in our own affairs? Doesn't look like it.
