Anyone here on IMDB?

Anyone done something of note as to get on here?

The minute something of mine goes out on the box, I'll be adding myself - and then that'll be an ambition achieved I think. My only concern in there another person with my name, so that'll mean I'll have to settle for (II).

Then my Wiki page will follow.

One of my friends was delighted to find that he was on there recently.

He appeared on some show on 'Living TV' - He was searching for extras for his zombie film and they filmed the process. It's odd seeing someone you know on there.

(Sorry - what's IMDB?)

Internet Movie DataBase.

A big old website, full of everyone who's done anything on the telly or in film.

Oh that one. Angelic

I don't think you'll need to go to the trouble of adding yourself, Seefacts.

It will probably automatically go up on IMDB before it even airs.

Interesting.

I always thought it was like Wiki - it's all user content, albeit much tighter security.

Perhaps.

I'm assuming that the prod co would add it up. Or the director.

IMDB credits can come in quite handy, so I imagine several people involved with the show will be trying to register it.

Have you checked to see if the show is already on there?

One sketch show, which isn't out for a couple of months, has been on IMDB for a while.

If it was then I'd definitely be on there.

No, it's not, I've just had a butchers.

I'm on there as I worked on a low (low, low, low... x 1000) budget movie about 10 years ago. I'm Steve Rose IX so that's one hell of a common name in the biz.

Knew I was there and not no.1 so checked my exact placement and noticed that my fame rating has gone up by 15% since last week. Can't imagine why that is, they can't possibly know about the meeting I've got with the prodco this week....

And I have no idea who added the data, the movie wasn't released in theatres over here, or anywhere as far as I know, but I believe it was on the television in the States.

I did do a couple of uncredited walk on roles but haven't dared add them myself.

You should!!

I would if it was me. I would be flipping shameless. :)

If only it was. Unfortunately, it falls far, far short, particularly for TV. And unless a film or TV show is brand new, it's unlikely to ever be updated I've found. It's actually pretty shite IMO. Even if the guy who established it is English (well, Bristolian anyway).

Actually, I'd say you were right.

It is shamefully shit unless you're a big star and which case it covers everything.

Out of curiosity, I've just signed up for a free 14 day subscription. Turns out looking yourself up improves your star rating. Which is ironic really, as to a normal person it just makes you look up youself.
