Of course, while the banks are commercial businesses, they retain the right to trade as they wish. The same applies to the contentious closing of supposedly non-profitable branches. One wouldn't want the government to interfere in the running of local hardware shop or greengrocer.

The only alternative to the banks taking what purport to be commercial decisions is to nationalise them.

Grocers don't have a monopoly control over a service the State demands every tax paying person should have. You cannot exist without a bank account now, therefore banks should not have the right to make arbitrary decisions based on customers personal views.

Definitely very similar at the extremes. Brutal totalitarian regimes. Secret police. Sent enemies to camps etc
Nazism - nationalism, racism, war-like, militaristic, anti-socialist, anti-trade unions etc not very similar to moderate socialism - pro-welfare state, anti-racist etc - though.

And don't forget morally superior attitudes mixed thoroughly with hypocrisy.

You mean 'relatively' moderate? What's moderate in a modern western society about withholding emergency services, vital transport services, or censoring books and banning the use words you don't like? Or indeed the insidious steady stream of social engineering that goes on in Labour controlled areas and from media broadcasters such as the BBC and others?
