Agreed, I'd also put Blair, Shirley Williams and Ming Campbell in there. You don't join the minority party for power, vanity and expense claims. The fact Farragh thinks his vanity bank cancellation should be news rather than food banks right now , speaks volumes over where his interests always lied.

Anyone who knows anything, knows that private banks like Coutt's have absolutely no qualms with doing business with 'questionable' individuals.
There's more dodgy money sluicing through their coffers than you can shake a stick at.
You can be as 'questionable' as you like.
The one thing you can't be is broke.

However, the likes of Dole, McCain, Obama all had a fundamental decency which Trump lacks. The same is true of Carter (who was very ineffective) and Reagan (who I disagreed with on lots of things).

Dole, McCain, Reagan, and Carter all had one thing in common which contributed greatly to their upstanding character: they all served as military officers, with Dole and McCain serving valiantly in combat. I'd be happy if all of our future presidents had served in the military.

Trump and Obama both suffer from the same glaring character flaws: narcissism, and the desire for fame and wealth. I don't like either of them as people.

Carter will be 99 in a couple of months, although the last I heard he was in hospice care. He's a very nice person, but he was a lousy president.

I'm unaware of any current or former presidents who are/were convicted sex criminals.

I know that these Just Stop Oil protesters are burning peoples heads out and I can see why as they would do my head in if I came across them. But when you see scenes where people are hitting them and in one case kicking them while their down I always get the sense that the one hitting out is the shithouse as you can see they don't fight back and you know the one doing the hitting wouldn't be throwing any publicity stunt swings at them if it was a protest for more boxing clubs.

I think every president for the last 30 years has been accused of rape and/or sexual assault; it's how politics are played these days. We're all the worse off because of it.

Trump more than most, but on what basis do you judge Obama is even close in this respect ? Was Obama care self serving ? Did he also constantly project blame away playing to ignorance use prejudice to set people against each other ? Did he triangulate etc ... ?

I will believe Judge Kaplan - as he was presiding over the case

He added: "Indeed, as the evidence at trial recounted below makes clear, the jury found that Mr. Trump in fact did exactly that."
