I'm there tomorrow. On Court two. Just spectating.

:-)

But where are all the umbrellas?

Chalk dust, everyone could see that there was chalk dust.

I see Murray beat Knob Heavy.

On my way home from a day out at the tennis. Because of the rain, they managed 59 minutes' play on the outside courts of which, due to my late arrival caused by train disruptions, I saw about 30. On the plus side, because there was less than one hour's play (by 1 minute!) I am entitled to a 100% refund of the ticket price.

C'mon, for a couple of overs you must have hoped Stokes was going to pull it out of the fire (again).

Looking forward then, to Stokes playing Murray on Centre Court

All I ask is that they all keep the grunting to a minimum. So people in the next room don't think I'm watching porn.

Djokovic was penalised a point by the umpire today for leaving too long a time between playing his shot and grunting.

Honestly, the grunting is why I don't watch tennis anymore - just gets on my nerves, and as far as I can recollect, it mainly started in the 1970s with Jimmy Connor, and this American phenomena should have been stopped then before it took hold.

Ruins the game, and unfair to the opponent? Don't remember McEnroe or Borg doing it, and certainly not Miss Wade, what? 🧐

Hah! An intimidation grunt to put the opponent off?
Tennis is the only game I can think of where they do it, or maybe the only one where it's audible to the viewers.
They should try it in snooker and chess.

If they start doing this, I might actually decide to start watching tennis.

Ah yes! The king of grunting sports.

Fantastic game
Well done Alcatraz

The Era of the three best players of all time inhabiting the same arena is drawing to a close
Long live the new King , what a terrific player

Not quite as nail bitingly close as the Nadal, Federer final but close. I don't get why the women's final had the roof closed for the windy but dry conditions but the men didn't, with it being almost as blustery at times. It clearly seemed to affect Djokovic's game more.

He doesn't get the credit he deserves, he's a more versatile player and a much better athlete than both the other two, though nowhere near as popular for some odd reason. The bloke's reflexes are astonishing. This new player's timed his rise to the top perfectly.
