Yes a good game especially it being so different to FF but irritatingly hard to keep up with, which tends to kill your interest in it when you lag behind. FF's hard enough when they sneak in Friday night games, SS is impossible unless you glue yourself to your PC like Herc does. 🙂
.

A congrats would have been nice, especially from the CEO of BCG SKY SUPER 6 what with me winning both leagues, including yours, of course............😢

Didn't need to be a cup, just a little enamel badge would have been fine.

And while we are on with the back-patting.... Nice graphic Godot of the final places.

Yes yes, congratulations on gluing yourself to your PC.

I haven't visited the league or the thread to see who'd won, but well done, beating Stelling is no mean feat. But now you'll have no pundit to chase, the way Sky are going 'human free', they'll probably put a computer in his place.

Yes, with four missing 😆

😁

You only need to log on once a week 😉

And I'm sure they will find a replacement for Stelling

I can't see Don waiting that long........................but to other more important things:-

Sky Super 6

All you have to do is predict the scores in 6 matches, that are usually Prem. games but can include Championship and/or European ties, if Prem matches are thin on the ground.

You get 2 points for a correct result and 5 for a correct prediction, and that's the bones of it. We have two leagues at the moment run by Stephen and Alf, but you can set up you own if you want.

It's just a bit of fun and you could win lots and lots of moolah, with no financial outlay on your part.

Here are the finer points from the Sky Super 6 site:-

Jackpot Competition
The Jackpot Competition prize is £250,000 unless otherwise specified. This prize is awarded to the player who correctly predicts the scores in ALL six Super 6 fixtures in a relevant week. If there are two or more players who have correctly predicted the score of all six Super 6 fixtures, the prize will be won by the player whose Golden Goal predictions is closest to the actual time of the first goal. If two or more players correctly predicted the score of all six Super 6 fixtures and the Golden Goal, the prize will be split equally amongst those players. If two or more players predicted Golden Goals which were equally close to the time of the first goal, the weekly prize will be split equally amongst those players.

Weekly Competition
Subject to below, the top scorer prize for each Super 6 Promotion week is £5,000 (unless otherwise specified). This prize is awarded to the player (other than any winner of the Jackpot Competition) who scores the highest number of points in a Super 6 week. At least one Super 6 fixture must be completed during the relevant week in order for the £5,000 guaranteed weekly prize to be awarded. If two or more players have the same number of points, the winner will be the player whose Golden Goal predictions is closest to the actual time of the first goal. If two or more players predicted Golden Goals which were equally close to the time of the first goal, the weekly prize will be split equally amongst those players.

Get 5 Bonus
If the Weekly Competition winner (as determined above in clause 8(ii)) has correctly predicted the scores for five (5) of the Super 6 fixtures that week, they will be awarded an additional bonus. This bonus will stand at £1,000 (unless advertised otherwise) on top of the Weekly Competition. In the case of ties as defined in the Weekly Competition above the Get 5 Bonus rollover prize will be split equally between all winners of the Weekly Competition.

I got 5 correct scores a few years back

You didn't.

Good, and welcome back to the BCG - I wonder if GT knows you've surfaced 😁

Quote: don rushmore @ 3rd June 2023, 12:30 PM

You didn't.

You're more than welcome to enquire at Sky bet then Donald because I f**king well did. A one off and can't pick any at the mo. All I remember was a total conviction all week of MU winning 3-1 which they did, then carefully picking the other scores around it. The only one I couldn't get a feeling on was Middlesborough v someone like Norwich and sure enough that one lost, got the 1-0 the wrong way round but was still hoping for that 5k nearest prize they had then. Logged on and found I was one of 13 or 14 with 25pts that week and about four others had 27pts, who got the last result but not the score, but don't know on what game, which at least made me feel less gutted.

Couldn't believe there were that many so close but no jackpot winner, until I started to look at the leader list after the games and saw this was quite regular. Like I said they have a supercomputer trial out all the probabilities a million times over to confidently know the target of six will give maybe a couple of jackpot wins a season max (and sometimes none) and still rake in millions for them. When they start to lose punters to other sites after no one wins and Sky's general odds on matches are crap they put the prize back up to 1M and email you this, to entice them all back then quite quickly drop it down again. I hate Skybet but it's the one online betting site I'm stuck with, my other accounts having closed.

Hmm, OK. Hope all well with you.

Killer sharks don't surface, we attack from below.

I was only 15 points behind Anton at one point

Yeah, GW1.

Ha ha, that's one thing that was missing from this season, that and you possibly winning again. If down to me you'd be back in but Godot has very different views, which I'm not sure are great for the game tbh. (I haven't mentioned it to him but I worry that power has an unhealthy hold on him, you know like it does with some people, Hitler, Napoleon, Genghis Khan, that sort.)

It's a pity you won't be in next season's Up the Clique Without a Paddle, Alf. You're going to be missed.

Actually I was 2pts ahead of him in GW1.

No, I haven't played well this season, but I have at least played, which is a f**k sight more than you managed.

Yes, it wasn't the continuing existence of the League that I was dubious about, it was the continuing existence of the world in general.

Ah!

By the way, following his performance on Saturday I'm starting to think your move to bring in Gundogan in GW25 had a touch of genius to it, you were just ten weeks early.

Hooray it's time for

Manager of the Month: April

Manager of the Month for April was won by Qatar Practice's Steve Sunshine. Congratulations to him.

Steve, a former overall winner of the Clique league and veteran coach, was presented with the trophy at the Qatar Practice ground by an aspiring Northern actress with big tits. Always magnanimous in victory, he put his late surge down to jumbo fried banana and peanut-butter sandwiches and long, fruitful planning sessions on the commode.

In an exciting development for fans of the Dutch game Steve was joined in his celebrations by Ron Vlaar, the former Aston Villa captain, who was initially refused entry to the ground as no-one on the staff knew who he was.

Runners up Kipper and Anton both voiced their abiding respect for Sunshine; "Steve's only won the league three times so it's good to see him finally get something, grumbled the Aha Land manager. Alf Kipper offered praise but with the following caveat; "He's Manager of the Month, but so what? It's a season, not a month and - I've got to sit down, thinking about Don has given me an erection."

Steve Sunshine has left the building.

When's the open-top bus?

I think Steve's more interested in the Clique League Cup he won, that's what he turned up for in the last month. And he stopped Pep Russell winning the treble.
