It was tv. Either late 70s or 80s. A group of Brits living abroad in the sun. I think they were ex-pats as opposed to just being on holiday. There was an apartment involved and, as I say, one particular character always bids the others "morningtons" when he arrives.

Maybe I dreamt it and I should be going off to write it myself.

You've got me at it now, as I'm nearly convincing myself that I remember it too, or maybe (probably) it's old age playing tricks - a sort of ear-worm word, and can almost picture a middle aged man saying it as you've described.

It'll come to me one day. 😆

'You big girls blouse'

Umm, just a thought, as I never watched it, and not quite as you describe - "Duty Free"?

No, definitely wasn't that. My one only ran for one series I think and soon disappeared into obscurity.

Aaron's got it:

I don't know. These people who start a thread when there's a perfectly good one already in existence.

The problem is one thread spelt catchphrase as one word and the other as two words.

Spook.

One of the weirdest is "Pulp are shit."

Pulp ARE shit.
You'll all be doing it tomorrow.
