Anyone betting on the Grand National? Page 16

I'm sure I've heard it was being trimmed down to 30, but obviously hasn't happened yet. I'd go with that, make it a tad easier to bet on a winner and give the horses a bit more breathing space. I'd do that that before chopping the fences to see if it reduces the risks. Still a big field and spectacle.

I have a suggestion for next years National

If a jockey falls off and breaks his leg- they should take him off to a special secluded area , then humanely shoot him in the head

Where do I sign, to be considered for the firing squad 😁 Have own air rifle, if that helps

Amazing really isn't it that there's a demo against a dangerous horse race and the police act straight away but when it's something more wide ranging affecting more people the police just stand around protecting the demonstrators.

I'm not much of a betting person myself, but I hope your choices in the Grand National turn out well for you. It's always exciting to have some fun and take a chance on something, even if the odds aren't necessarily in your favor. And who knows, maybe you'll end up being pleasantly surprised! Good luck and have fun with it.

An AI in action.

Thanks. My tip is Corach Rambler. Put your mortgage on.

While you're at it, you might also have a bet on Carlos Alcarez to score the first goal in the Arsenal v Southampton game tonight.

Almost like you predicted it.

Bloody hell, wish I'd bunged a few quid on Soton to win 👀

...or maybe not

But what if some nobheads come to try and spoil it?

Well it's getting there. Biggest changes in years for this year's race. Down to 34 horses (from 40), first fence moved 60 yards closer to start to reduce their speed, another fence shortened, a system for bringing in loose horses, and rubber toe boards at fences, presumably to help them bounce over. 🙂 So no more moaning...

This horse has been kept fresh and has been laid out all year for this race. (as have many others) But this one appeals to me the most.
Odds vary between 10/1 to 12/1 at the moment. My money is on.

I'm studying the form now, a 10 year old (horse, not jockey) hasn't won it for 10 years so I'll go for a nice bit of symmetry and choose one. Although the last horse was 11.

Okay I'll try something else, I'm thinking a double winner as there are a couple of past champs running. I'll go for Noble Rambler.

Corach Rambler to do a Tiger Roll and win it two consecutive years (Tiger Roll robbed of a third by covid).

And Nassalam ew - trained locally to me (have visited the stables), I backed him @ 8/1 when he won the Welsh National over Christmas by 34 lengths so can't really forsake him now @ 66/1. Disappointed in the Gold Cup (in which Corach Rambler was 2nd) but normal jockey, injured then, back on board today; likes heavy going.
