I read the news today oh boy! Page 2,535

This morning Steve baker actually said

"What an extraordinary opportunity
for Northern Ireland: dual access to both markets."

So.... Exactly the opportunity the whole of the UK had before brexit wrecked it all??

Laughable

And Rishi Sunak this morning...
"Northern Ireland will have access to the UK market and to the European single market, and that's an incredibly attractive proposition for investors"
It is, isn't it Rishi?
If only there was some form of organisation we could join that would give us benefits like that....

You literally can't make this shit up! 🤣🤣

Turns out Boris' oven ready deal wasn't actually finally at long last DONE.

But we need to make our own decisions. Not be dictated to.

Funny the way this record seems to have disappeared into obscurity. Does Macca regret it now?

I think Downing Street just realised he has stuck his incredibly expensive shoe in his gob and have now released a statement explaining that he didn't actually mean what we all know he just said

HE SAID WHAT??? IS HE CRAZY??? GET A STATEMENT OUT THERE ASAP FFS!!!

But we need to make our own decisions. Not be dictated to.

We used to before - we were at the heart of the decision making.

Meanwhile in our new Brexit nirvana the average bill for a years shopping has gone up by over £800 a year

Yay!!!!!

Woot woot

Thanks Bozza - we all got well and truly DONE

The same thing is happening here (and all over the world) but it's not due to Brexit.

The same thing is happening here (and all over the world) but it's not due to Brexit.

It's not the only cause - as you say, all countries are suffering.
It's just not helping - anything that hinders trade and growth makes life harder.
It's why we're suffering more than our neighbours across the channel.

Where is your proof of that?

A 0.1% difference between the EU and the UK doesn't seem to be all that massive. A family bringing in £100,000 annually would lose about £8 per month.

The EU is conglomeration of 27 countries - some of whom have what could almost be called emerging economies.
So the EU/27 country average will always be dragged down ( the Euro zone, it should be noted is doing decidedly better)
Contrary to what people were told, the EU is not an unwieldy monolithic block, but a group of 27 very separate countries with different economies, laws, electoral systems etc etc.
That's why I talked of our 'neighbours across the channel' ie western Europe and the developed economies that are most like ours.
France, Germany, Spain,Italy, the Netherlands etc etc - what we used to call 'the continent' in the old days.

And now Andrea Leadsom tells the BBC that businesses in Great Britain, seeking to access the EU single market should "invest in Northern Ireland."
That should thrill all those misled Brexit voters in the West Midlands when their jobs go up the Swanee after their employers move to N.I.

They're taking the piss now.

Not more bad news, surely.
