The Mouse On The Moon

As I've said in the past (yawn) I don't usually watch post 1950s films, but this one had so many stars in it, I thought it had to be funny.

Nah. Typical 60s British comedy film - more silly than outright belly laugh, but don't regret the 80 minutes watching it.

Margaret Rutherford, Ron Moody, Bernard Cribbins, David Kossoff were the main contenders with support stars such as Terry-Thomas, Clive Dunn, John Le Mez, Eric Barker etc. etc. and a weird 30 second appearance of Frankie Howerd as himself looking for a toilet.

6/10

Yes, I know, Dave, you watched it about 2 years ago 😁

I remember quite liking this in the dim and distant past.
I think it got quite a lot of airing in the 'olden days' when not many films were shown on the Beeb.
I may even have seen it as a kid - when I was (and still am) a massive Cribbins fan.

Yes, I think it would appeal greatly for kids, especially with Cribbins in it, who was the star, as always. He had a charm all of his own.

And could play serious comedy too, as witnessed by his cutlery salesman in Fawlty Towers - SUPERB! "Look Mr Fawlty, I'm not a violent man but................" 😆

I was going to say I'm sure this must've already had its own thread.
