Can I just say,I think the things you can get in the Ronnie Barker collection is a great bargain, I've had to buy them separately, and I didn't know there was a boxset with Porridge ect, until a few weeks back. I must have spent 40-50 pounds maybe more buying them separately, I should have bought the boxset for 22 pound, that's a bargain for what you get IMO.

So I've been looking for a copy of "The Wrong Box" for a while now that range in price from around a fiver to £15 and then you may have post involved, so decided I wouldn't spend anymore than £5 inc. post. Missed out on a couple at around £3 + and then this one appeared at only 25p! Plus £2 post
One bidder with a high feedback score so I thought I would snipe him as he appeared to be a big buyer and so waited patiently ..................................
Banged in my usual odd figure bid with 5 seconds to go of just under £3 and............................NO challenge and no one else bidding, so I got it for 30p! Bargain or what!

A couple of them actually never released as single box sets before either.
I do wish they'd bring out some all new titles though, as welcome as some of these are!
Great sale at Network, lots of series under a fiver, some, like Second Thoughts Series 1, under £2! https://networkonair.com/282-winter-sale

Thanks for that - that's £31 I didn't expect to spend this morning ?, but some good stuff there. One of the new ones I would like, but it's FAR TOO expensive, so maybe next year's sale ?
Off eBay, just bought the double DVD The Blues Brothers and Blues Brothers 2000 for £2.34 inc. post
Both in mint condition and play perfectly
Can't argue with that!
Wasn't sure of the best place to post this, but apparently Network DVD have gone into liquidation? Absolutely gutted, at least half of my comedy collection is thanks to them! Their website's down and I saw this tweet by Richard Marson:

OMG!! That is such sad news - have bought a lot from them over the years.
Do you think they will have a closing down sale?

I wondered that, they must have lots of unsold stock, but their website seems to be completely down. They've been tweeting over the past few days with no indication of anything being wrong, no idea what's gone on behind the scenes.
Yes, it's sadly true. Very, very sad, and very bad, news.
It's early days in the process, so I can't be absolute but whatever stock remains will almost certainly be sold off in bulk and gradually trickle down through to regular retail points. The website has completely shut down and I can't see any consumer-facing sale happen by other means.
It's very bad news for archival television and film.
I'm so shocked by Network ending, by far the best DVD company ever.
Will it be possible to still buy their DVDs on Amazon or eBay?
