? Yes it does look like a block of ice cream on a fry up, but in the advert small print, there is mention of using it with stewed fruit (remember this is 1951 post war austerity) and I think the "toast" is a pie crust on top of unrecognisable stewed fruit. Apples maybe?

The factory was only demolished about 15 years ago, and the site is now home to a KFC restaurant and drive-through!

Well one would certainly hope so - but that branch serves halal, so it's probably not much healthier or better for the planet. :-)
They ended up as Bestobell Aviation. Not sure if they were bought, moved, closed down or what.
