Don't Share With Mother

Hi, my podcast Don't Share With Mother recently finished its first series. Essentially I've recorded a handful of short stories I wrote for adults who haven't grown up. Think children's tales, fables, nursery rhymes and the like, reimagined and twisted for an older audience but delivered as though reading to kids

Would love to know what people think, good or bad. For what it's worth, Smoked Pork and The Commentator are my two favourites.

Just listened to Smoked Pork, which made me laugh, although I think it comes in a bit long, and could do with editing down a bit. Also you might think about losing some of the preamble, particularly saying that people easily offended shouldn't be listening, as this might raise expectations too much.
Your voice is ideal - the chirpy tones just like those real-like kids' TV presenters, which makes the grim events you narrate funnier.
So well done, it's a good idea well executed - literally in this case!
I think it would work as an animation, if you know anyone in that field.

The fact it made someone laugh is a plus point!

I've been thinking about the pacing and lengths. All come in under 15 mins but appreciate it could be shorter still. I guess it's knowing people are willing to invest the time to listen as it's a podcast, though how much time they're willing to give up is key. The drop-off rate is encouraging from the stats, but having listened back to them many times, I agree the preamble can be cut (almost to the point that it's just a couple of sentences).

Someone else has mentioned animation, and it was written for that. But I wanted to get the project off the ground ASAP, so I've gone audio only for now.
