Arse! Nearly a full house, but at least I "won" the above, which is small consolation.

Having been away overnight last night, and travelling back this afternoon, I had to call in to a Starbucks and buy a coffee so that I could use their Wifi and register my predictions for tonight.
Dedicated to the cause or what?
Haha. As Roy Castle used to say....

Bullocks, Mr Belcher.
That's what I remember him saying.
I've no idea what either of you are talking about - is it secret code? ?
Carry On Up The Khyber. Roy Castle (Captain Keene) to Peter Butterworth (Brother Belcher):
"I've never ridden in a cart pulled by cows before."
"Bullocks, Mr Belcher."
"No, I haven't, honestly."
No idea about Haha though.
Haha was laughing at your predicament and dedication to getting your scores in.
Roy castle used to sing dedication on the ' record breakers show

Aha. Somebody else used to say that (and possibly will do again).
Record Breakers was well after my time for watching children's television. Twizzle, yes.

DO they still have the football pools
I remember back in the day when my dad did it and I'm pretty sure a man used to come to our door to collect the coupons
Or am I just imagining that
Yeah, there was always the bloke who collected coupons at the door, or at the local social club. My Dad always posted his with a postal order..............in the days when you could rely on the post.
Had to check re the Pools, and they do still run apparently, but not like the old days, and I quote :-
The pools business declined after the introduction of the National Lottery in 1994. Littlewoods, Vernons and Zetters were brought together in 2007 by Sportech under the brand 'The New Football Pools', now known as 'The Football Pools'. They offer other small stake, high prize games such as Premier 10 and Jackpot 12
Shame you didn't get the 6 forecast, but great, nevertheless. ?
I remember my grandad doing 'spot the ball that came with the pools coupon.
He drew lines of crosses from every players heads to a central point where he thought the ball was.
He never won but got loads of near misses prizes.
I did that for a short while, UNTIL I read the small print, which said it was NOT where the ball actually was, but where a panel of "experts" decided where it should be - what a load of crap!!
