Tory leadership Page 23

And that is what I alluded to. Women have always fainted but now it's seen by some as sinister.

My wife and one daughter were prone to it when they were in their 20's. If we were out in a crowded pub I had to stand in the slips ready to catch her.

A male mate of mine was prone to fainting at that age, I've fainted about 6 or 7 times that I know of, but have all been post late 30s and most if not all related to illness.

Let's be honest, this is turning into a pretty vile spectacle.
I should imaging the LibDems are rubbing their hands in glee.

I liked Truss's policy u-turn, which was of course all the medias fault.

It's because the pair of them are just knee-jerk reacting their policies, just to win over .25% of the population - a group with a very specific worldview. But there will be plenty of 'casual' Tory voters who aren't particularly turned on by it all. Truss and Sunak will literally say anything to get the job - damn the consequences.

I'm just waiting for footage of Truss sat in a tank somewhere

That's a rather niche fetish, but whatever floats your boat!

A vile spectacle, specific world view, damn the consequences.

You should vote for the raving loony party.

Why? Are you standing?

But seriously, do you think the 175,000 strong Tory Party Memberships is a broad church?
Certainly not as broad as the tory voters, that's for sure, who encompass quite a wide range.
So I stand by "specific world view". I didn't say bad or good. - just specific.
And I think the fact that Liz Truss had to cancel her own policy within 24 hours points to someone not thinking about - or certainly not working through - the consequences.
So I think "damn the consequences" is pretty much on point.
Perhaps I shouldn't have said "vile" - "unedifying" might have been better.
Anyway - if that makes me a raving looney - so be it.

She's clearly learnt from the master

The Bojo school of policy on the hoof

It's easy, you announce some absolute tosh and sit back and see what reaction there is in the media

If there's an outcry- just say you've changed your mind

Even if it's only about 20 minutes after said ground breaking scheme was concocted

It gives you another daily target at least.
Boris can wither on the vine and you can take aim at Truss.

But I suspect, with your pathological hatred of Boris, he'll still get a mention.

Always with the venom!
No need.

No venom. Opinion!

There's not a day where doesn't call Boris foul names. There's your venom.
Or doesn't that count if he's on your side.

I don't mind people disagreeing with me. I actually quite like it! But 90% of your posts are just snide attacks on people you disagree with. Why not argue properly? Why are the Tories so great? Why was Johnson such a great leader? Let's hear it!
I probably won't agree with it, but its a legitimate view.
For myself, I'd say Johnson is the only PM in recent times to be removed from office specifically for being corrupt and incompetent. He lied about breaking rules, he had introduced himself. He lied to the Queen. He accidentally appointed a sex offender. His government wasted £37 billion on a track and trace system which didn't work. He endlessly denies responsibility for things which he has done and attempts to claim credit for things which he hasn't.
I don't think there's anything "pathological" about objecting to these things.

I wouldn't worry the way things are going our Stephen will probably get dragged into doing the media rounds after he is the last one the country to still believe the government. I can see him now in the Green Room demanding Yorkshire Tea and a ham bap before he goes on. And god help Naga Munchetty as she will be well and truly put through her paces.
Still it would be a boring site if everyone was the same .

Ham teacake around these parts
