Anyone remember Haggard, a Yorkshire TV comedy series from around 1990, starring Keith Barron?
It was set in the same period as Blackadder the Third and should have been much more successful than it was.
It was recently shown on Forces TV which has now sadly closed down, but for those who missed it or simply
want to watch it again, the whole series is now on YouTube. Well worth a look (imho).
Haggard starring Keith Barron
I certainly do! Probably suffered in comparison to Blackadder, but a very enjoyable series IMO. Should be on DVD. Pleased to hear it's been on Forces TV recently - not entirely forgotten! There may be hope yet.
It was released on DVD but in the USA only! How weird is that? It has such a typically British style of humour that I can't imagine would appeal to most Americans.
It took me ages to track it down but I finally managed to get hold of a copy from the USA at considerable expense. ?
I've uploaded all 14 episodes, not monetised, so I'm not making anything out of it. I just want as many people as possible to discover an overlooked gem.

A lot of quintessentially British titles were first released in the US, long before the UK, sadly and weirdly.
Never heard of it but should have with that cast and that writer - Eric Chappell. I envisage long scenes with much soliloquising.
That's not my edit, which is rare because I like to type quickly then spot the typos afterwards. Refer to your Oxford book of English Usage Aaron as all good editors will have, and you'll see I'm right to use z (and neither would I be wrong to use an s there). Would you change size to sise? No, the most fiddling editor in the world wouldn't so why keep fiddling with mine? Thank you, I'm sure.
Just watched a couple of bits.
Is it me, or is Keith Barron strangely miscast in this?
I love him - but he always shines as a slightly weak but lovable character.
Not sure the strutting. pompous Haggart really suits him.
Other opinions are available etc etc
You need to watch at least the first two episodes. In my opinion no one could have done it better.
May well do that.
