This Jubilee bullshit makes me vomit.

Bread and Circuses.
A bit like bringing back the farthing or whatever cockamamy thing Boris is suggesting.

Would you two like to go and live in Russia then seeing as you despise your country so much. They got rid of their monarch a hundred years ago, so you'll feel much more at home there. Grasnieki!

Two days off work (well, one extra day), so Id happily have this shenanigans every year.

Then again, the Queen is the only member of the royal family anybody likes, so they're buggered when she dies.

Ha! The stock reply from every Nationalist - and makes you sound like a child.
I have no problem with the Monarchy - it's harmless enough.
I just don't like how its used to detract people from the real issues.
Hence linking it with Boris' latest bit of smoke and mirrors.
A man, by the way, who has shown more disrespect towards the monarchy than I could ever muster.

Of course the honest thing for you to do is blow Buck House up on Jubilee day but you don't want to go to jail do you. I wonder if Cliff's doing a new song for her.

The worlds gone soft

In the 70's we had the Pistols pissing off all the toadying sheep with their banned (it's a free country?) God Save the queen

This time, we're more likely to have Ed f**kin Sheeran doing an acoustic version of the actual tedious droning anthem - so as to cement his friggin MBE for services to blandness

I agree with Alfred - Buckingham Palace should be blown up, royal family and all.

Better not blow up the Palace because whoever we elect as President (as if we didn't have enough elections & politicians already) will no doubt want to live in it (a la Elysee Palace). And probably expect the taxpayer to provide him/her with their own Air Force One as well.

Haha! True

Him/her/they shurely?

Or just "them". One simple word and it includes everyone.
Especially seeing as he said "their" two words later in the sentence.

I have to step in for Billy here, as the context (of the next US Pres) needed him to state him/her or him or her or vice versa for politically correct or at least courteous reasons, seeing as the vice pres is a woman and the current favourite to take over, as it's thought Biden won't run for a 2nd term. He was acknowledging this. Using 'them' could have had him labelled a disgusting male chauvinist pig! Now we know he isn't. (You're not, are you Billy?)

Btw anyone know what song Cliff will be singing yet? Can't wait.

"Devil Woman" might appease the republicans out there.
Or possibly "Time Drags By"
I think Charles' vote goes to this one.
Though I think her might be being a tad ironic

So a guy born in India who lives Portugal is going to try and get into the country to perform for German immigrants ? How can you support Brexit and The Royals its a contradiction in terms. ?

You really do live in an imaginary world don't you? Unless you mean TERFs, who do indeed fly off the handle when anyone mentions the use of the word them or they.

In that sentence, I was just pointing out that 'them' is a simple, easy way to cover both him and her. 'Him/her' always looks awkward to me.
