I don't disagree with any of that, I just don't think it's an electoral game changer

Well, Boris & Co. must think it is, hence all the shenanigins today to kick it down the road. But it'll be the cost of living that'll do for them if anything does. Reminding people that they break their own rules and dodge their taxes will not play well to a population that's suffering. So, I think they have to press home the fact that he's a cheat and a liar - it can only help.

And now he's being questioned by the POLICE ffs

Their line of questioning: Right, Boris, when's our next pay rise? By the way, how many parties did you say you didn't attend, and how many do you want us to charge you with? And how much is our next pay rise?

It's definitely damaging, and I think the Tories will do badly in the local elections. But sadly it damages government and politics in general too, as people rush to find false equivalence everywhere. "Kier Starmer/Nicola Sturgeon was seen without a mask in a room therefore he's as bad!" Well, no, it's not, but we live in the age of gotcha politics.

The Met Police are investigating war crimes in Ukraine. I bet that's got Putin worried!

But they're not going to prosecute till after he's won...

Relieved to see Macron seems to be pulling away from Le Pen - looks like he played a blinder in the last TV debate.
Bet she wished she hadn't taken that Putin loan now.

I don't know, I doubt she'll have to pay it back.

A shame for the French though if they've got to endure another five years of Macron. And indeed for the British as he clearly doesn't like us. Maybe we can import his opponent as a replacement for Boris and have a right of centre leader of the Conservative Party for the first time in over 30 years.

Indeed.
A higher percentage of Tory voters seem to prefer the Holocaust denying racist over Macron.
Unsurprisingly, it's even higher amongst Brexit voters.

We didn't liberate the french from the nazis just so they could elect that BITCH as leader years later

I think you'll find that the whole idea of being liberated from the Nazis was so that they were free to elect whoever they wanted to elect as leader and not be dictated to.

One can only hope sense prevails.
Not counting on it though - it seems to be in short supply currently.

Happy birthday Leslie Phillips.

98 today.

Got to love that 'sense prevails' means vote and think like I do.
