Why shouldn't I be concerned about how tax is spent? Just because I'm low paid I still get money taken out of every hour I work so I have that right to discuss it.
I read the news today oh boy! Page 2,379

This is putting pressure on Arsenal for their sponsorship. They suggest people should visit Rwanda.
Any true blue Tory voter that claims this government isn't an absolute shambles/disgrace - is either a liar, or a complete cretin
If it wasn't so serious, it would actually be very amusing - watching this group of absolute morons trying to run a country
None of you lefties can hold in your hatred, predudice and spite.
It boils over into horrible name calling. It's laughable.
The trouble is 90% of politicians are only in it for themselves. Politics should be like Jury Service in that everyone should be potentially a politician. You get drawn at random.
Agreed. I vote for Chappers's idea. Just leave me alone with those expenses for 24 hours, that's all I ask. I'd buy inflatable digynies and gift them to Priti Patel's in-laws abroad. Boris is bound to leak it.
Rwandan genocide orphans say they are going to have nowhere to live, after the UK's new Rwanda migrant scheme will use the hostel they have lived in for years.
Home Secretary Priti Patel's plan to send all asylum seekers in the UK to the central African nation will force more than 20 residents in the country out of their accommodation.
A total of 22 residents will be kicked out of Hope House hostel, based in capital city Kigali, when people who tried to find asylum in the UK are flown to Africa.
The civil war orphans have been living in the shelter for eight years, but were only given two weeks notice to leave the hostel.
Rwanda has twice the population density as the UK.
So how come they've got room but we haven't?
This is essentially human trafficking.
All to keep the right-wing on-side.
Indefensible.

Plus there are ongoing disputes between the tootsies and the hoohoos.
"Since 1959 Rwanda's political and social instability has had serious economic repercussions. Intense demographic pressure, the shortage of arable land, and lack of access to the Indian Ocean have been three critical problems in Rwanda's economic development." source https://www.africa.upenn.edu/NEH/rweconomy.htm

What room? And what do you suggest? The human trafficking was done to bring them here.
Of course, you'll be helping out by boarding a few.....
The situation is out of control and getting worse - please enlighten us with a perfect solution

Why do Arsenal continue with their sponsorship?
Latest news footballer Bruno Fernandes has been involved in a car crash. That's what they call Mancester United these days.
Boris Johnson will fly to India this week doing Liz Trusses job in order to avoid PMQs. I suspect the hope for him and his vile gimp Patel is that Starmer falls for the red meat of Rwanda.
This type of policy is sinister in that they know themselves its not even practical but rather than have to try an implement it they are praying that it is dragged down by sensible people who they can then call 'The left' and blame them for a bringing down a plan that will not work. Its a bit like saying 'I support bringing back hanging' You sound tough but you know it won't happen. In an ideal world people should be questioning its logistics as its morality is already a given.
The opposition should instead press for the full plans & costings. Once they're in the open we can ask why we are ready to spend what is estimated around £400, 000 per person each year to send young men to Rwanda and house them, while we have our own people sleeping on the streets and workers living off foodbanks?
Lets see the full plan and costings pointing out that the woman and children will still be allowed to stay in the UK and their welfare will be our problem. So instead of a plate of red meat we have a fully exposed caper designed to outrage and and diversify.
If they ask what other people would do instead? No one should answer that until the projected costings are known so that they can decide based on the plan being fuly explained and costed.
Its a bag of shit , they know it and everyone else knows it so let them carry it around in public and expose it for what it is. Rather than demand it be scrapped which is what they're praying for so that they can say prior to the local elections in May "We wanted to deal with it but the loony left won't let us ".
They have a majority so let them use it to push it through. That way some of their own MPs will vote against it, the courts will block it and we can ask why they keep wasting tax payers money ?
The only question Starmer should ask is 'Why are we spending the equivalent of three newly built council family houses' on just one 18 year old kid who came over in a raft and now needs flights and hotels?
