I don't know much about British politics, but I have enough knowledge of politicians, in general, to reliably assume that there's no way that he was the first PM to have broken the law while in office.

No PM has ever been in this situation that is a historical fact . Besides that's like telling the family of serial killers victim 'If it helps help's he's killed loads of people'.

Frances Urquhart broke the law multiple times.

Absolutely. I wasn't even defending the guy, just trying to express disbelief that he was the first PM to break the law while in office. He may be the first person to be charged, but surely other PMs have broken the speed limit, jaywalked, or illegally parked their vehicle at one time or another.

It was a stupid law broken by a stupid, elite politician. The citizens of the UK deserve an apology for the heavy-handed lockdown measures that they suffered under for so long. Any similar charges filed against anyone should be dismissed - there are far more pressing issues at hand.

The thing is that this is only the first fine, he will get more. As it stands he ran a building that so far has seen 50 people cautioned by the police. Even Bugsy Segal never had that many hoods around to his place when he was operating out of the Waldorf Astoria.

Teddy may be arguing Johnson was culpable for Covid deaths, as some are suggesting he is. With such vivid use of hyperbole for what in recorded reality is a non criminal offence receiving a fixed penalty notice, I'm not sure there's any literary device or colourful use of language left that could do justice to PM Blair's illegal war on Iraq he got away with scot free.

As I said earlier:

Any similar charges filed against anyone should be dismissed - there are far more pressing issues at hand.

So now any people crossing the channel illegally will be put on planes to Rwanda. Headline wise its red meat to detract from the fact the PM is in trouble again. However if you read on which some people actually do.
All that's going to happen is that the males in the boat will be flown out and the women and children will be settled here and no doubt get solicitors to have their men released and returned to them. The whole plan will be funded by the tax payer , its estimated to cost billions and is expected to eventually be proved as illegal.
So that's billions spent to keep Bojo safe from the £50 fine I wonder what they will come up with when the other fines from all the other parties that he got nicked at?
Expect the headline 'People on benefits to be kept in camps on the Isle of Man' That will be until they work out that 40% of the people on benefits are actually in work . Then they will no doubt come up with a plan were these people can leave the camp to go to work then hand themselves back in once their shift is finished.
