And you watch how slowly it comes down.
If I ever does.

Quote: Stephen Goodlad @ 10th March 2022, 7:59 AMThe blatant profiteering at the petrol pumps lately.
A liter of petrol or diesel goes up every day by 5p or more to new record prices.
Surely they don't get new delivery's each morning.
So the fuel in the garage tanks were bought at a much cheaper price but they still put it up.
With petrol being now around £9 a gallon ** (absolutely effin' disgusting!!) I think back to when you had 4 different grades of petrol (way before unleaded) back in the early/mid 60s, when I had my first car, and not being able to afford the 5 star, which was 5/- (5 shillings) a gallon - 25p in today's money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fortunately for me now retired, I barely do 500 miles a year, so it affects me little driving my own car, BUT of course everything else goes up in relation to that with transport costs.
** I still maintain that going over to decimal coinage based on the £1 and not 50p misleads people when faced with £2 a litre and think, fleetingly, "Oh, that's not as bad as I thought, as I remember paying £1.75 a gallon a few years back"
There was a story on twitter that tickled me.
A bloke was filling his car up and tutted to a woman filling hers up.
These prices are ridiculous he said to her.
She said, 'they don't affect me, I still only put £20 in.
And they want equality ?

Kevin bloody bacon
Is mobile phones ads year after year the best he can do?
You need a new agent Kev
I'm so sick of these ''''''reaction'''''' vids on YouTube. No one wants to watch some bored, pus-ridden, spunk-heavy teen jerking off to Melanie C instead of watching the actual Melanie C... Well maybe someone does. But let's not think about them.
When you've bought a load of stuff on the internet, been through the rigmarole of getting your details in - but it still tells you off for not ticking the "Accept Terms & Conditions" box.
WELL MAKE IT A BIT FUCKING BIGGER THEN!
I know it's the small print, but sometimes....

I feel your pain, brother. I was planning to mow for the first time today, but it rained (and hailed) early this morning, so I'm heading off for a few $2 pints at my local grocery store's bar.
I feel like I have seen the Legal and General advert with the little lad with his dinosaur toy about A HUNDRED AND FIFTY THREE TRILLION FUCKING TIMES
Ebay.
They have changed their payments policy only to benefit themselves.
You can no longer be paid by Paypal.
I liked that as there was a bridge between Ebay and my bank account.
Now, they want your bank details and they decide when you are getting paid when you have sold something.
At first I thought it might be a good idea - and even cheaper as only one party would be taking a cut of my profits.
Ebay have upped their percentage cut of the sale and take it off at source.
They are taking nearly 20% of money that you are paid
Yes, I liked it how it was, as it was for me a sort of second surprise bank account that I never had to top up, and when I did check it, there was usually a nice lump sum to transfer into my bank account. NOW Grrrrr I have to check it to make sure there are sufficient funds for me to buy things with, and having to transfer money the other way. Bastards!
And I don't understand why it was changed, apart from the profit motive, as I thought eBay owned/bought out PayPal.
Here's a for instance - this week.
As I am coming to the end of my career, I have a tremendous amount of industrial electronic stuff in my stores.
I've accrued it over years as spare parts or replacements. It's face value is probably too high to calculate, especially as there is a world wide shortage of electronic components.
I tested the waters Monday. I put 2 temperature controllers up for sale at £50 +£5 p&p each. I knew it was low as they are £200.
They sold in literally minutes. I was in the post office an hour later and they were on their way.
Ebay told me 2 days later they were sold and payment is pending. Out of the £55 the customer paid for each one - Ebay said £46 was gonna come my way. I had paid £5 postage on each so really I'm getting £41. That's way too bigger cut and I have much bigger stuff to sell.
Any recommendations for another ebay type site?
Oh, and I've still not been paid by ebay
