The all in one consolidated RIP thread Page 77

I'm a leftie and yup, we're more bigoted than right-wingers.
Watched some Love Thy Neighbour in honour of Eddie. Cute.
What did Jack Smethurst say to Kathy Staff at that time of the month? Bloody Nora.

Didn't realise Jack Smethurst played four different characters in Coronation Street.
I mean, good luck to the guy, but talk about lazy casting...

I could never get over the fact that Norman Eshley played two different characters in Man About the House in just four years and then a completely different one (Jeffrey Fourmile) in its spin-off George and Mildred.

Almost certainly not lazy casting but friends helping friends.
The same bunch of actors in the 70's appeared in everything.

But the Norman Eshley one was unbelievable.
First he was married with kids and tried giving Chrissy one
Then he's Robin's brother having another crack at her. (and married her)
Then George and Mildred move and he lives next door with another wife.

Also... Did you know that ALL members of the Balowski family in the Young Ones were played by Alexei Sayle? Talk about versatile.
Strange that Jack Smethurst passed away just as I was discovering Love Thy Neighbour.

.............................. wife.

Yes, and what a wife. drools uncontrollably ?

There is just something about Sheila Fearn that's makes me go all unnecessary. Can't quite put my finger on it, and wish I could. ?

A bloke dies and you have to use politics?

No that was his position. Outside right or number 7 as it used to be.

R.I.P. Olive from On The Buses. Anna Karen. Tragically died in a house fire in Ilford. Also in Carry Ons Camping & Loving :(

Oh no, RIP Anna.

RIP Rod Marsh.

"Never trust a man who doesn't drink." Marsh's extreme trustworthiness was implied by an infamous flight to Heathrow in 1983, on which he broke Doug Walters' 44-can beer-drinking record.

Some accounts of the aftermath had Marsh being wheeled through customs on a baggage trolley. 'Marsh splashes down', said a London tabloid headline.
