He was repeating a far-right meme first circulated when the Labour Leadership elections were in progress - designed to smear Starmer.
Nothing to do with the CPS, the BBC or the Old Bill (who frankly don't need any help on that front - they're more than capable of doing that themselves).

You're intelligent enough to know that saying something someone else has already said doesn't mean it has to a repetition, it could well be a genuinely held belief. Johnson's been hauled up for overseeing criminal negligence in his office, why should the head of the CPS at the time of their own criminal negligence not get the same scrutiny? There was no criminal negligence.

Possibly more a matter of opinion than fact but how was the decision not to prosecute a widely known about serial offender for what were serious crimes not negligent? I say criminally negligent because they made the decision to let huge crimes escape justice. Somehow the worst villain in all of it turns out to be the man who dares to accuse them of it.

The victims of Jimmy Savile have asked Boris to retract his slur - do you think he'll do the honourable thing or selfishly make them suffer ?

It was a complete cock up at the CPS. They had several girls accusing Savile of sexual assault but they were reticent to stand up in court.
Each girl did not know and were not told that there were others with the same complaint at the same time - each thought they were the only one.
Any young girl would be frightened of being alone in court.

Starmer was head of the CPS and surely cases were run by him in the matter of prosecute or not. Somebody had the final say.

No thy weren't run past him.
The CPS was dealing with around 900,000 prosecutions a year.
It was deemed un-prosecutable - for all the reasons you cite - at a local level.
A huge mistake for sure.
But unequivocally not Starmer's fault.

Better to leak the story a couple of days before a General election, when there's no time for due diligence and the focus is on sound bites. The Head of the mean party may have squandered their trump card. He truly has no honour.
