Just a quick sketch what I wrote. There's a possibility I might film it although I'm not sure of my friend's emotional acting range yet!

a bit long. plus the punch line was weak. it was a bit obvious that he hadn't really eaten the dog, and that he would appear at the end.
Thanks. The actor would have to be almost crying at the loss of his dog to disguise the ending. Which is why I have doubts about filming it. But I don't think it would be too obvious if performed well.
I could see that Bill would have said that he ate the dog as he was eating at the time. However, I didnt foresee the dog appearing at the end although the punch could be a lot better. The performance would make or break it as you are well aware. Hope that helps
It's a weak punch, and it's to close to what happens in every day life.

That's kind of the point His overkill attempt to get him back for such a minor everyday thing.
The punch line isn't that great but the fact he'll be talking to the doggy will add an extra awwww factor. That's how I see it anyway.
