I only ever knew him from the brilliance of OFITG, but recently found out he's written sketches too. I'm going to have to go exploring YouTube tonight.
Love Soup is neat too.

And Jonathan Creek.
Quote: Tim Walker @ April 14 2008, 3:41 PM BSTI must get hold of 'Alexei Sayle's Stuff', which Renwick (and Andrew Marshall) wrote the majority of sketches for. I remember some absolutely genius sketches from the show.

Cheers for that.
I think he's brilliant too. A true inspiration.
Didn't he do Hot Metal too?
Along with Andrew Marshall, yes.
I've just used some of my Christmas money wisely (I think so) and booked tickets to a couple of these - http://www.bfi.org.uk/whatson/bfi_southbank/film_programme/january_seasons/david_renwick
I've making my way through the Jonathan Creek box set at the moment. Very interesting commentary on first episode with Renwick.
Je also, of course wrote for The Two Ronnies, including the Mastermind sketch amd Ronnie Corbett's monologues
Hey all
I interviewed David Renwick and it's available on all platforms.
A really great insight into One Foot.

Available as a two parter.
Cheers
He's done shitloads. NTNON and Alexei Sayle's Stuff come to mind. I'm convinced 'Lex knew he didn't have enough material to sustain three series, so he grabbed sketch-writers and only settled for one of the best.
One of his lesser known shows which I loved was Love Soup.
Interesting (and really sad) to read that Renwick has fallen completely out of love with TV (no final Jonathan Creek!) and has seemingly retired.

I believe it's through frustration. It's an open secret that even he has been unable to get anything commissioned amidst the recent comedy drought.

Maybe he should try Channel 4 or even Channel 5.
I see he's written a new One Foot in the Grave book though. I thought Victor had been killed off by Hannah Gordon.
