That is, I believe, simply all there is. How it looks natively, between the lower picture quality 20 years ago and the programme's grading.
BBC Three / Choice filmed all their shows on potatoes. Actually, most things from around 2000 look awful, it was the time of bad digital video by the looks of it. Strange format ratios too, sorta wide-screen but not.
Agree about the odd sorta panoramic/fish eye aspect framing. But The Mighty Boosh was on BBC Three in the same era and it looks much better. Probably an artistic choice. Shame he wasted his talents on panel shows mostly.
