Steve Merchant talked about it in one of the early radio shows as one of the two most embarrassing ways of being caught masturbating. That, and being caught wanking looking into a mirror. Laughing out loud

Does getting caught by your own reflection count?

It probably should...when you see your reflection, presumably it would make you think, what the f**k am I doing wanking over myself, my life is shit.

That's a guess anyway, I don't tend to make a habit of it myself.

Good thing, and he deserves it as well.

I can't look at Patrick Stewart any more and keep a straight face.

Heh he no, I think it's great that him and so many other celebs were prepared to send themselves up, especially Sean! Excellent series and good luck to all involved I say :D

That would depend on how attractive you are. I imagine beautiful people wank at mirrors all the time. Or they would if they weren't constantly having sex with other beautiful people.

The whole nudey pen thing is ripped off from an episode of Friends. Chandler has a similar pen and shows the exact same schoolboy joy as De Niro over the woman gradually becoming naked. Not that it wasn't funny in extras, it was, just that it had been done before.

In fact, if I'm right, Friends probably ripped that the nudey pen lady reference of an episode of The Simpsons, where Homer and Apu are looking at one in the Kwik-E-Mart.

Very little comedy is wholly original and comedy writers sometimes even subconsciously reference someone else's joke.

You're right. It's up to writers and performers to try and put a fresh spin on things.

I know that you either love or hate Gervais, no middle ground, but in my eyes, he is genius. I pine for more podcasts with Smerch and KP.

I find myself pining for Gervais often...

Hah, I know! What is it about him?

Ooh, are you admitting to fancying him too? (in public.)

Probably not. :(
I shall remain alone forever.

I seriously thought I was the only one. I mean, it doesn't add up, but he's frackin' hot. *shame*

Hurrah!

We shall form a very small support group.

Zooo Gervais sounds better than Feckless Gervais, so I'll bow out. Jane must be tiring of him by now anyway-
