What if

So it's 1967, and you're passing down the train corridor to find a seat on the train, clutching at your second class ticket, and this scene appears.................

Do you?

A/. Continue along the corridor to find a second-class carriage/compartment

B/. Ask for autographs

C/. Bluff your way into their compartment, asking if that seat next to Paul is taken

C. Is that seat taken? Yes, it's the bloke's taking the photograph. Doh!

So I looked around and I noticed there wasn't a chair.

Ah, but as you well know - those carriages are three seats across.

I'll take your word it's 1965 Herc but it looks a tad later to me, Paul's hair is of the All You Need Is Love to White Album era as is his Carnaby Street smock which would suggest at least 66. Jagger's barnet is also of that era as it gradually got bushier and longer. So I'm going for March 2nd 1968 unless of course you shut me up with a provenance prover. Pirate

Well, they were going to Bangor for some reason, and it was the only date I could find that tied the two of them to that journey. Umm, you may be right. Cool

So precise though (March 2nd 1968). Were you the roadie, taking the photie?

And most images of the fab 4 in 65 they still have their Cuban heels on, although it was a very transitional year for them on the fashion front as they started ditching the suits for a more casual look. So it still could possibly just about be 65 but why they'd be going to Bognor on New Year's Eve I don't know. :S Would Butlins have been open then? Eh?

"Excuse me, is George about?"

You could only have said that as a witty bon motte after December 3rd that year. So it could be New's Year's Eve.
Paul: Ere' I hope this Butlins visit is gonna gimme inspiration for a new album, Mick. George wanted to go to India instead.
Mick: Yeah Paul, you'll love it, I know some real cool cats there, uuurrrrwww.

Not at all. It may have been me saying that that inspired the song.

Actually, sorry to disappoint but it's Bangor - not Bognor. And it was for the conference on Transcendental Meditation in August 1967 from which they were urgently recalled upon the news of Brian Epstein's death.

And I bet they had a lovely day, the day they went to Bangor.

Sherlock Bunter on the case, and you are right of course, as I've now found the original article - my memory is clearly going, which is a worry. :(

Hell, I wish it was 1967 Teary

Laughing out loud Ha ha. Bognor! Look at it this way Herc, not remembering means you were there. Cool But maybe not in Bognor.

And top marks for posting a Beatles photo I've not seen before, I find it a particularly interesting one, with Jagger in it. Travelling 1st Class. Thanks to Billy's link it tells us who Mick's travelling companion was.

So with this as the clue, the Quiz Question is Which Lennon penned Album track was a dig at Mick and his same girlfriend?

To answer your question.I'd scurry past with my mouth open because I'm shy.
