A guy needs a hobby.
I must be the best looking guy in the world. How else do you explain it - all these beautiful women who not only know about me but take the trouble to open a Facebook account and log on just to track me down and ask for my friendship? My personal favourite, 'I'm desperate for sex tonight.' Well you pay me then.
An email supposedly from Argos.
We have been T-rying to contact you. You have won. Click He-Re.
Telephone call telling me I had been using my internet for illegal purposes and would be cut off within the hour and fined in court.
I must stay on the line and turn my computer on to receive a file from them that will block the illegal activity.
I asked Shelia (a nice Indian lady) what was the nature of the illegal activity.
I or someone with access to my computer has downloaded porn.
She said BT take this very seriously. I said I am not with them, I am with Virgin.
BT control all internet? Oh.
How can ths be, I don't own a computer. Just tv and phone with Virgin.
Line dead.
I am being targeted.
A very sophisticated one this time - they are upping their game.
A text massage from my bank.
A new payee has requested money from your account.
A Mr Frank Wells has requested £1000.00.
If this is OK, you need do nothing.
If you don't recognise this transaction then click here to cancel.
They got my bank right and name.
Luckily, I noticed the number it came from was not my bank.
But, my bank has just been taken over by Virgin so It did make me panic a bit.
I searched the internet and it is a new scam and plenty have had their bank accounts emptied.
So beware of texts from your bank and of course never click the link
Ignored the first one - NOW I have a Final Alert
Got an email today in Russian.
Usually I ignore them but just for interest I fed it to Google translate and this s what I got.

I had one supposedly from the Royal Mail saying "your package has a £2.99 unpaid shipping fee. To pay please visit..........."
Now I am awaiting something and I wasn't sure. But then it dawned on me how would Royal Mail know my mobile phone number?
It's a very common one Chappers.
They are getting more refined too. Aimed at people who are waiting for a parcel
All I can say is anyone trying to scam dough from a Yorkshiremen has got about as much chance as they have of getting a Scouser to admit that they're in the wrong.
If I get hold of a pound coin - it's a prisoner.

Great news.
Here's a new one.
I received a text saying my doctor has requested a urine test to check my kidney function.
They told me a urine testing kit would arrive in the post.....And it did.
Reading the blurb on the kit, it said the nhs is under great strain and they have been asked to step in to ease the burden.
Now the catch - I have to pay for this test and they will then send the results to my doctor.
My doctor has not asked for this test!
