Are You Being Served?

Hi,

I created a new AYBS site at:

http://www.aybscentral.com

and a bulletin board to go with it at:

http://aybscentralforum.phpbbsite.com/---moved to--http://aybscentral.invisionplus.net/

Marlies

Nice job, having a look at the site now...

Thanks for that Marlies. I'll make sure we link to it when the site relaunches. :)

Generally on the programme. You may be surprised, but I'm not a fan. Watch one episode, you've seen them all in my opinion. I did love Mr Humphreys and Young Mr Grace though. Don't think Croft and Lloyd are a great partnership (don't like Allo Allo either). Though Croft is part of the greatest writing duo in the country- Perry and Croft.

Great show and great site. Your website is very good. Thanks for letting us know about it.

*GAAAAAAAAAASP* :O

Yea Allo Allo was easily one of the top sitcoms of all time.

Unless you don't understand the humour that is.

Because it's so deep and intricate you mean?

I much prefer Croft and Lloyd to the Perry stuff. Only Dad's Army works for me there.

It's funny Dad's army doesn't do much for me but I certainly don't hate it.

Each to there own I guess.

Check this video out- one of my all time favourite youtube videos. A must watch for 'Are you Being Served' fans. It's only a minute long. http://youtube.com/watch?v=xopZGwEqS2I

I always wanted to see a smackdown between You Got Served and Are You Being Served.

You Are Being Served?

Heh, Heh. I've just thought up the broad plot of a new sitcom.

You have a motor mechanic who works all day in a repair garage, and he has a wife, whom he does not realise, works during the day in a brothel.

The title of course: "Are you being serviced?"

I know you have to have an aquired taste for Croft and Perry sitcoms, apart from Dads Army that is. Would you agree though Dave that Dads Army is Croft's best work. I also think It Aint Half Hot Mum is really good and I like You Rang M'Lord. Hi-De-Hi isn't great, but still watchable.

See I loved You Rang M'lord yet it never seems to get the kudos it deserves.

It's in my top 5 favourite sitcoms I think as the entire cast was great.
