Cool!

Always been curious- was there many black people in the crowd do you remember?

Thinking about it probably not.

Sorry - did you mean "of colour?"

Eh?

No I just meant bands like Specials and Selector were multi racial

But it always seemed It was mostly white kids who were fans

I knew exactly what you meant but your terminology is a little insensitive.

Yes - most of the audience was white.

Umm no, no it wasn't

I meant black people

Cos the music is heavily influenced by reggae- which is black music

If I'd have asked if there was any 'people of colour' there - that would have been using potentially offensive language

I agree entirely. It's bollocks and not grammatically English.

I first heard this over 50 years ago not the 5 minutes it seems like.

Did you ever watch the BBC concert that was shown in the 1970s? I think really that's the ultimate Van Morrison. "It's too late to stop now!"

Move over Abba - here's a band from Sweden in the early 60s. Remember seeing them on TV where they wore full space suits with glass dome helmets

FAB!!

I love just looking at those labels.

Tell it my heart by Taylor Dayne on Pick of the Pops on Radio 2. I loved this and she was quite stunning but didn't seem to do a lot else.

And reminded me of another stunning female singer Laura Brannigan who unfortunately died in 2004.

Fontaines DC.
The whole Dogrel album is a gem https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HgLypctZ9Gs

I probably did but I can't remember. No reflection on Van just my ageing brain.

Mike might like a few seconds of this one :

Z cars on full blast !!!

:) you must be well chuffed. Twenty something years is a long time to wait.

It was a long time coming that's for sure but worth the wait. And thanks to satellites at least their fans didn't have to come all the way to Liverpool to witness it.
