I always thought it was some higher power showing Donnie Darko why he should die before he dies. Does that make sense? Sort of a modern day Jesus.

Similar here Adam. I thought it was touching when Donnie reaches the decision to stay in bed and so die. And it was exactly my take on it. Someone having the chance to slip back in time to put the past right by choosing to die in the place of those he loves or will come to love. But I'm a big weeping softie for any aspect of sacrifice in love - in real life or fiction. Love is the process of confronting and accepting loss in my mind. And Donnie Darko confronts it with balls. Hero.

I Carlton Dance to music when I'm in a good mood does that count?

The process is reversed for me. I put the music on to get me in the mood. :)

Cheers Zooo, re: you do too. I do worry myself sometimes.

Does anyone else use music (almost like drugs) to put them into a specific frame of mind as and when needed? Or am I really the fruitcake I suspect I am? Errr

Yes!

I like some King Crimson by the way - especially John Wetton era.

I'm listeing to DAB station the Arrow as Maconie has just finished.

Born to Run by Springsteen and now Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll

Paranoid by Black Sabbath. Ozzy's finest five minutes.

Well that's what Sharon told me.

This is brilliant tonight. Just had Roxy with the fart at the end and now "Heroes" by the greatest ever living English pop star.

Really? I didn't know that Richard Fairbrass had done a cover of "Heroes"!

He normally uncovers things.

On the road again by Canned Heat. Sublime!

It's getting good again.

Wheel's on Fire by Julie Driscoll, Brian Auger and the Trinity.

I remember buying this as a single on the swirly Marmalade record label in 1968 or 69.

I've been playing a lot of Duran Duran's 2004 album "Astronaut" (particularly the songs "Point of no return" and "Finest Hour") plus some stuff from their new album "Red Carpet Massacre" - true kings of 80's Pop/New Wave (I should have said "True kings of music" but that would be a matter of personal opinion.....they are kings of 80's Pop/New Wave though and that's a fact!)
:D

You're even more of a music geek than I am a comedy geek.

Does anyone apart from David know half of the songs he goes on about?

Guillemots - Get Over It

Anyone like My Morning Jacket? You have to love them if only for the fact the pronounce 'limber' lee-ummmmm-ber.

P.S. Listening to One Big Holiday-My Morning Jacket. What a tune!
