Depending on the project I'm working on at work, I find atmospheric, black metal like Wolves in the Throne Room help me when I'm working on Photoshop but CryoChamber, dark ambient is best for coding. Loathe the majority of pop music apart from Lana Del Ray. I couldn't name a band in the top 40 if you paid me a million quid.
Siberian black metal, actually quite 'Christmassy' well to me anyway
