To a point, but the top 1% of earners in the UK pay roughly 27% of our taxes. Hence why everyone is jittery about losing our finance industry care off Brexit, lots of higher rate tax payers. The main avoidance tactic is simply to keep your money from landing in the UK (offshore accounts etc...). Wealth as opposed to income has already been taxed, but even then there's VAT collected from those that shop in the UK. As we've had the biggest drop in GDP since 1706, I shudder to think what taxation is in the pipeline. So it's better they all stay.
