Hi all,
Apologies if this is in the wrong discussion group.
I'm Joshua, I was a stand up from 2011-2015, winning New Comedian of the Year at the Leicester Square Theatre in 2014.
I've just released my second spoken world album, which is funny and frenetic and covers a lot of mental health and political territory without being preachy and satirical and tryhard.
It is called Vrindavan: City Of Widows. Vrindavan is a city in India where there are thousands of Bengali widows, some in brightly coloured Saris, who are a tourist attraction. They are sent there by their families who see it as a supportive community, but are stuck living in a shack in a shanty town without electricity, proper food, medical facilities, clean toilets etc. This is relatable towards a dark side of Britain that's emerged this year.
