INT- SET OF I'D DO ANYTHING - DAY

THE JUDGES ARE SITTING IN THE STALLS AND SHARON COMES UP TO THE MIC.

JOHN BARROWMAN:
OK Sharon. In your own time please.

SHARON STARTS TO SING AND IT'S TRULY AWFUL. SCREECHY OUT OF TIME AND OUT OF TUNE.

JOHN BARROWMAN:
Thanks Sharon. I think that maybe you need to take five, compose yourself and maybe come back in then and give it another go.

SHARON:
Oh thank you so much. I don't know what happened there. I think that maybe I'm preoccupied with my mum's dreadful uncurable illness. That and my dad's chronic alcoholism.

JOHN BARROWMAN:
Hey Sharon, you know what? We're taking you through to the next stage. You're going to Nancy school!

END:

That's a good sketch. But I'd cut down, the singing bit, and play up the Nancy bit. e.g. add a question from the judge,

"Does your boyfriend beat you, but you still love him?"

"Course I do don't I,"

Just to emphasise she's getting Nancy, because she's like Nancy.

lol little bit of bitterness in there Blenkinsop did they turn you down for Nancy School?

Is there such a school? Is that where David Cameron went?

Is good idea, yes. :)

I was hoping reality shows were going to give up on the 'my dad's dead, let me on the show' angle. But they haven't.

More sketches with John Barrowman! That's what I say.

How about Little Lolita?

Looking for the nations next Lolita.

I shall refrain from naming judges.

Oh. I thought the point was they'll have any talentless tit through to the next stage as long as there's a heart-wrenching story attached.

Ye I think that was the point.

Aaah ! So Blenkinsop which is the correct punchline?

Or could do a well dodgy punchline. A young Oliver sings I'd do anything. Barrowman winks at him, and say's now would you really?

He's doing well for a bit part in Dr Who isn't he?

Noooo. Definitely don't do that.

That little boy in the advert who won a Dr Who part on Blue Peter? Laughing out loud Yes, I thought that.

Is that how Barrowman got on the show?

What?

Badge and Gavin have it right. Sooty I don't know how your mind works :)

Hahahahaha!

I thought the sketch was OK but a bit muddled - I took Sooty's interpretation too.

EH? It appears that my writing works on many levels. I don't think anything could be less muddled :$

Maybe it's too subtle - like a sledgehammer?
