What are you watching on TV? Page 2,187
Quote: Sitcomfan64 @ 21st May 2020, 11:31 PMDid anybody see the Tony Slattery documentary? I've always had a lot of time for him, and this was frankly an astonishing piece of television. I was close to tears.
It was excellent, public broadcasting at it's best.
Britain's Greatest Comedy Character on Gold. Entirely nonessential stuff, but I did enjoy Lucy Beaumont slagging off Miranda to Sally's face.

I hadn't seen any of it before, and I recorded and watched the whole first series when they recently screened it. Definitely the funniest thing I've watched during lockdown, and the best tonic. I've been recommending it to family and friends ever since.
They didn't put it on All 4, but it is on Amazon Prime.
I met the guy who played the dodgy accountant at a party years ago. And I also used to know the actor who plays Freddie in the wine episode. I had no idea either of them was in it, so that was a fun bonus.
Ha cool story !
I find the main character a bit tedious...
But it has its moments

Ta!
Bill Bailey's character and performance are what make it for me - along with the random moments of silliness. (Can't comment beyond the first series though.)
I May Destroy You, Coel really has a gift for character development.
Mother Makes Five on DVD. I've almost finished it.
Room 101
Mel C is on
I thought Room 101 was what you WOULDN'T want to be in a room with.
