If he said that now, he'd be on trial for sex with the mentally ill.
There is a Mel B version of Word Up. It is total and utter f**king shit. And I don't mind the Spice Girls.

That's very funny in a very non-PC and therefore very deplorable way. Laughing out loud

I surprise myself.
Paul McCartney, Pipes of Piss. Aka Tug of War, The Leftovers.

In his final years, John Lennon survived on my herb loans. Living on borrowed thyme.

Was he the fool on the dill?

If I lived in the UK I could get this album easily but when you are in the colonies everything takes six months to come by clipper.

Mick Jagger fell over in a vegetable patch. He said, Thyme is on my side.

Warpaint | Watch A Concert A Day

never heard of them
wiki
"They have been compared to Cocteau Twins,[30] Joni Mitchell,[31] and Siouxsie and the Banshees.[31] Other influences include Kraftwerk, Depeche Mode and Public Image Ltd.[32] The band has also cited hip-hop as an influence of their work. Two songs have been named after their favorite rappers: Biggy and Dre.[citation needed]"

sounds interesting and someone pleasant to look at for a change :)

Just listened to Otway's Eiderdown. That was him doing 6 cover versions.

I love'em. I've posted other tracks before. I particularly like their second self-titled album.

If that wiki description was a quiz question, "who has been compared to...?", I wouldn't get it in a million years. :)

Oh yes - very many thanks.

I'm a fan of theirs. Have never seen them live. The track I posted. I'll tell you where my head is at on it because I find it quite exciting. Sure, it's repetitive but it does a most unusual thing. It has all of the elements that have trashed pop music really. The autotune. The Cowell style leanings which everyone seems to have now across the globe. BUT they infuse it very convincingly with (i) the zydeco roots aspect and (ii) that old school soul vibe thing of the 70s/80s just before it was massacred. And (i) and (ii) combined turn it into (i) and (ii) rather than the autotune and the Cowell. It is almost like a reclaiming of turf. They do it on their other stuff too. It is all very vibey in a nice way which seems current and nostalgic in parallel. I hear it a bit in other things - Fun Lovin' Criminals at their best, Booker T in his modern guise - both : well, Booker Onions and Huey DJ - know their music history and it takes that knowledge, love and respect for it to be able to do it.
