That would be a decent joke in the routine of a sometimes-surreal comedian like Harry Hill.
Or, because you're into cartoons, how about a bottle (or something) on a pub bar saying to an empty beer tray next to it, "Have you seen who's just come in?" and the beer tray replies, "No, I've not got my glasses on me."
Or something like that. 
Yeah, you maybe right, Rood Eye. I thought of it last night at work and I thought surely someone has thought of it before? I have googled it, but no sign of it out there. Probably hiding and too embarrassed to come out?
