What are you listening to now? Page 1,378

Such very long posts. Sorry. It's my barely coping mechanism. So interested to read Tarney's back catalogue via Australia and Greater London including this gem from my parish (ish). I've a kind of mate - actually he was on my music quiz team and knew everything I didn't : furious but we often won - who bombards my box with Bob Stanley stuff. Bob knows more about the history of music than I could shake corn flakes at on a good day which makes St Etienne so interesting. I will try to dig out some of his more interesting stuff. And now I really am going to shut my massive mouth up. Ta-ta for now.

I was nominated to list 6 albums that have changed my life. I couldn't be arsed.

Oh yes......VFT. Great call. I will do this one.

Arsenal, York, Millwall, Newcastle, Exeter, Ipswich, QPR, Aston Villa, Charlton, Brentford, Blyth Spartans, possibly Wolves and West Ham - pretty much in that order. Elsewhere, Marseille who are by far my favourite EU team as they are nuts, then AC Milan, Ajax, maybe Valencia or if not Real Betis or Deportivo and FC Haarlem and Evian Thonan Gaillard, now sadly defunct. Scotland is difficult. I can't say that the same big emotion is there but, on balance, I go for Dundee Utd, Arbroath, Inverness, Ross County, Stranraer, Queen of the South and Berwick Rangers. Northern Ireland - Glentoran. Wales - Aberystwyth Town. USA football should not be encouraged but at a push Portland. Local - Merstham, Sutton Utd, Whyteleafe. Truly international - anything from the West Indies or Africa plus Brazil-ish. Ta for asking. I suppose the real me is indeed found in the footy shirts I own. That's the first nine teams I mentioned. I'm a member of all those teams.

But have you got a Sutton United shirt? Almost unique colours.

Live streaming now, a concert from The National's tour last year. I saw them live then for the first time. Great gig.

I haven't got one because I get old fashioned shirts, preferably from times before there were sponsor names. That's rather than the latest season's one. It means I don't have to keep buying them each year which is something I couldn't afford. In Sutton's case, that sort of thing just isn't available. But I know what you mean. When I saw them play Gateshead (the dull first half - you were there and stayed for it all) it was bright yellow versus bright green and obviously that rarely happens.

Off the Ground, McCartney. It Is almost complete crap.

Off the Ground, McCartney. It Is almost complete crap.

Michael - you seem to listen exclusively to McCartney while not being very impressed with him. As an alternative, I have posted a lot of links and can guarantee that every single one is pure class. As a starting point, could I suggest the Manning track? His golden period was the album of Party Sing a Long Hits but even in 1974 he was knocking out belters. Plus I think the cartoon yodel from somewhere in the continent of Europe would help to fill in your gaps in knowledge about the history of yodel generally. But its entirely up to you. I do fully recognise that you live somewhere in the continent of Europe yourself. They may do things differently there. Feel free to plough your own furlough if you still wish.

I told my friend, I'm banishing Beatles songs from my life. He said, You can't do that.
