I wouldn't judge John Woo by his hollywood movies. Look at his Hong Kong work, several of those films are classics. If you like action films, HARD BOILED is difficult to beat.
Poor old Oasis. I don't think anyone would have minded if they'd retired in 1997. They just can't compete with their 2nd album.
I thought Oasis' 'best' albums were rubbish too. What did all those musicians have in common? There 'big hits' were all rip offs from better music. I love that one story that while Oasis was working on "What's the Story Morning Glory" kept listening to the same Beatles song over and over again and one day the band found a letter on their door saying "Write your own music". Not to mention law suits and actually admitting to ripping off riffs.
p.s. Elton's new music might be irrelevant but in my opinion his original few albums still stand today as great rock.
