I see the second was written by Curtis Mayfield.
He had some bad luckI would like to dispute your 1870 theory.
A lot of what we consider as the classical composers were born before the 1870's.
So I have been led to believe from certain quarters.
But I was a modern romantic the first time around, ie not with eyeliner in the early 1980s.
Vaughan Williams, Rachmaninoff, Ravel, Holst, Scriabin, Ives, Falla, Coleridge-Taylor.
I think you will find they were all born in the 1870s as were around 70 other superior non-stuffy figures.
Anyways, I'm pleased you like my pop choices.
I'm starting to think I need to learn more about soul in the 1963-1965 period. I like it a lot more than I used to - and I always quite liked it while thinking I preferred the later stuff - but my knowledge could be considerably improved there.
Ms Bottoms incidentally - Lance's daughter - is in charge of Atlanta.
